Jose Vega is a 27-year-old political organizer and journalist from the South Bronx running for New York's 15th Congressional District — the poorest congressional district in the United States, where over 36% of residents live below the poverty line. A community organizer since age 16, Vega has dedicated his life to grassroots activism in one of America's most underserved communities. He ran against incumbent Rep. Ritchie Torres in 2024 and is back in 2026 with a broader campaign, announcing at El Maestro boxing gym in Crotona Park East. He has publicly confronted politicians including AOC, Mike Pompeo, Kamala Harris, and Ritchie Torres on camera over policies he believes are destroying his community. His campaign slogan is Let's Save the Bronx.

Economic Reform: Re-enact Glass-Steagall to separate commercial and investment banking. Return to a National Banking system with federal credit authority. Deploy federal credit to boost physical economic productivity and employment. Energy: Launch a fusion energy crash program to build America's next industrial foundation. Healthcare: Medicare for All — universal single-payer healthcare for every American. Jobs and Infrastructure: Create a Space CCC (Space Civilian Construction Corps) with industrial parks in the Bronx offering apprenticeships in welding, machining, and skilled trades. Build a cross-Bronx train line connecting communities to opportunity. Housing: Structural banking reform to lower interest rates and make housing development viable again. Foreign Policy: End all post-9/11 military interventions. Oppose military aid that serves foreign governments instead of American citizens.
